The Journey Begins...

One week ago today, I decided (at the request of my new personal trainer) to give the Paleo Diet a try. I picked up a copy of Robb Wolf's The Paleo Solution, bought myself a ton of almond and coconut flour and began down the Paleo path. Perhaps the first thing you're thinking is "Paleo Vegetarian?" ..yes yes, I know, not very "Paleo" of me! However after 20 years of not eating meat (just can't get a taste for it) I am not about to start now. I know I have shocked and horrified many who follow the Paleo lifestyle as prescribed, however this is my journey. I admit getting my protein is/will be a challenge, but I will learn as I go, test and experiment along the way.

So one week in and yes I admit I have had a couple "slips" but I have never fully wandered off the path! I am finding Paleo friendly ways to satisfy my cravings (just gave Paleo Pizza a try tonight) and researching new recipes! It has been hard to crush all my cravings, but ... they too shall pass!

This blog is intended simply to share ideas, struggles, successes and recipes I've found, It will become my online journal, tracking my journey and keeping myself and my diet in check!
